Professor Martin Bridewell has a problem: he doesn’t think his documentary film students have learned a thing all semester long. And now the department chair has arrived to observe his class—and to decide whether the new instructor will be invited back for another semester. As the class unfolds, and one crazy film unspools after another, he has to decide: is he a film teacher, or a film critic? Written and directed by Joe Sikoryak, “D for DOCs” is inspired by classroom experience and a world where virtually anyone can make a movie. The film includes an array of fictional student works that are somehow true to life.
