John’s earliest on camera appearance dates back to when he was 12 years old and was chosen to be the host of Atlanta TV station WSB’s Sunday morning kids’ program, “Super 2.” Though he was always performing for anyone who’d watch and listen, he didn’t pursue acting in earnest again until the late 90s. Initially focusing on voiceover work, John trained at The Voice Factory and honed his improvisational chops at Bay Area Theater Sports (BATS). John is represented by Stars Agency in San Francisco.

Music

John is also an accomplished songwriter and musician. He led San Francisco rockers, Rule of Thumb, through four albums in the 90s, producing what listen.com called “multi-faceted, near-flawless gems of catchy, yet uncompromising pop. Rule of Thumb’s music is smart, beautifully produced, and scintillates with wit.” John currently sings and plays guitar/bass with Verst.
